Production, Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Sticky Gecko ID , every single item is permanently laser-engraved in-house and custom-made especially for your pet. Because these products are personalised, our returns policy is structured differently than standard retail stores. As we don't just pull these off a retail shelf, your order goes through two stages: Production (us making it) and Shipping (Australia Post delivering it).

Here is the total timeline from our laser workspace to your front door:

Peak Periods: During peak promotional events or holiday seasons, production times may extend to 3 business days.

 

1. In the Workshop (Our Production Time)

• Standard Production: For standard orders, we typically batch and engrave your custom tags within 1 to 2 business days.
• Express Production: If you choose Express Post at checkout, your order skips the queue. We fast-track your tag onto the laser bed the same or next business day to get it out the door immediately.

2. Choose Your Delivery Adventure:

Option A: Economy Snail Mail (Untracked)

• The Vibe: For the laid-back pet who is in no rush.
• The Reality: We slap a classic postage stamp on a plain envelope and drop it into the big red box. Australia Post's regular letter network operates at its own leisurely pace.
• The Catch: There’s no tracking number. We cannot track it, you cannot track it, and your local postie can't track it. It flies completely under the radar until it lands in your letterbox.

Option B: Express Post Upgrade (Tracked & Fast)

• The Vibe: For the pet who needed their tag yesterday because they are planning a great escape this weekend.
• The Reality: This option gets priority production, skips the slow lane and goes straight into a yellow Express Post bin.
• The Bonus: Full, glorious step-by-step digital tracking. You'll get a link to watch its journey from our workshop all the way to your door.

3. "My Tag Hasn't Arrived!" (The Lost Mail Protocol)

Because standard letter mail flies completely blind, we offer an optional Premium Shipping Protection toggle at checkout to cover any transit mishaps. Here is how lost mail is handled based on your choice:

If you added "Premium Shipping Protection" to your cart:

You are 100% covered. If your Express tracking goes dark, or if your Economy Snail Mail envelope hasn't landed in your letterbox after 10 business days from dispatch, don't panic. Just drop us an email with your order number. We will immediately cut our losses, priority-run a fresh custom tag on the laser and dispatch your replacement package at zero extra cost to you.

If you opted OUT of Shipping Protection:

By turning off protection, you accept the risk of the untracked mail network. Because standard letters cannot be tracked, investigated, or recovered by Australia Post, we cannot offer a 100% free replacement for uninsured packages. Sometimes letters get temporarily stuck behind a catalogue or take an unexpected detour through Derby.

However, we still don't want your pet left stranded without an identity. If your uninsured tag fails to arrive after 10 business days, reach out to us and we will gladly issue you a one-time 20% discount code so you can grab a replacement tag without paying full price.
